Congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado's 4th District has issued a statement on the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, which took place today in Washington D.C.

Boebert expressed her view that the previous four years were marked by challenges including crime, drug issues attributed to "an open Southern border," high inflation affecting ranchers and farmers, and what she described as a failure to defend national interests against foreign adversaries. She stated, “After a disastrous four years of suffering through the crime and drugs brought into our communities by an open Southern border, inflation hitting record-highs while ranchers and farmers can barely survive, and a failure to stand up for our nation's interests as foreign enemies cause chaos, today's inauguration of President Donald J. Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance marks the start of a new, magnificent era for America."

She assured residents of Colorado that their interests will be prioritized under the new administration. "Coloradans should know that President Trump and Vice President Vance will put their interests first and I am thrilled to work with them to enact an agenda that prioritizes the 4th District's needs," Boebert stated.

Boebert highlighted key areas she aims to address alongside the new administration: enhancing energy production in America, securing the Southern border, and supporting agriculture within her district. She said they plan to "unleash our oil & gas producers to make America energy dominant, secure our Southern border to protect our families from crime and fentanyl, and get our ranchers, farmers, and Colorado's agriculture community the support they need to continue feeding families across our state and country."

The Congresswoman concluded by expressing her commitment to collaborating with Trump and Vance during their tenure. “I look forward to fighting alongside President Trump and Vice President Vance every step of the way and continuing to deliver results for Colorado in the 119th Congress."
