U.S. Congresswoman Lauren Boebert and Congressman-elect Jeff Hurd have announced their commitment to ensuring a seamless transition of representation for Colorado's 3rd Congressional District as the 118th Congress concludes. The transition aims to provide continuity for constituents as Hurd prepares to take office in January.
Congresswoman Boebert emphasized the importance of this transition, stating, "As legislators wrap up our work for the 118th Congress, it is critically important that the people of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District experience a smooth transition of representation as Congressman-elect Jeff Hurd begins his term in January." She noted that both teams have been in regular communication about legislative matters, casework, offices, and constituent information to facilitate a swift start for Hurd's team. Boebert also expressed her intention to collaborate with Hurd on issues such as energy independence, water management in Colorado, and border security.
Congressman-elect Hurd expressed his eagerness to serve the district officially from January but highlighted that preparations for leadership transition are already underway. He stated, "Coloradans from the Western Slope to Pueblo should know our team is committed to being present in communities and working with constituents of all backgrounds from day one." He acknowledged Boebert's cooperation in sharing essential resources and knowledge necessary for effective constituent service.
Boebert has pledged to share relevant legislative information, casework files, and contact details with Hurd's team to ensure uninterrupted communication and representation starting January 2025.
