Cost of college went up for all students at Pueblo Community College

In-state tuition and fees rose 2.6 percent for 2018-19 at Pueblo Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Colorado residents paid $5,179 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $129 more than the $5,050 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 214 percent more than residents this year, or $16,262. Non-resident tuition and fees grew 2.9 percent from $15,810 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Colorado residents.

Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 316 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2 million and 149 students took out student loans totaling more than $601,222.

Including all undergraduates (6,197), 4,163 students used grants or scholarships totaling $27.9 million, and 2,098 students took out $9.3 million in federal student loans.
