Congresswoman Lauren Boebert voted to fund the United States military by passing the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to equip our brave men and women in uniform with the resources they need to accomplish their missions and get home safely. The NDAA that passed the House also included three of Congresswoman Boebert’s bipartisan amendments. Her first amendment added her Pueblo Jobs Act to the NDAA. Her second amendment protected our service members’ children by prohibiting pornographic and radical gender ideology books in on-base school libraries. Finally, her third amendment fought back against Chinese Communist Party propaganda by requiring the DoD to report on institutions of higher education that have received DoD funding and hosted a Confucius Institute.
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (CO-03) said, “It is Congress’s job to ensure that our nation’s most precious resource, its sons and daughters, mothers and fathers who answered the call to serve in uniform have the best chance to come home to their families and have the necessary resources to accomplish their missions. I’m also thrilled we secured a major win for Pueblo by passing my Pueblo Jobs Act as a provision in the National Defense Authorization Act. I look forward to my bipartisan bill being signed into law that will helping facilitate job growth and economic development while investing in Pueblo’s future.”
