Of the 3,034 people living in Penrose CDP in 2019, 53.5 percent (1,623) were women and 46.5 percent (1,411) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SE Colorado News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 960-to-759. In the 65 and over age range, there were 351 females and 323 males.
