Baca County Government issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.

Baca County Public Health Agency was notified on 10.16.2020 that there is one new laboratory confirmed case in Baca County. Out of respect for patient privacy, we will only release the following information (No other information will be released at this time):

• The patient is a resident of Baca County.
• Close contacts have been placed in quarantine.

Baca County case numbers updates: Our current COVID-19 case counts for Baca County are as follows (as of the time of this writing Friday October 16, 2020):

Positive cases: 24

Hospitalizations: 2
