Custer County issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.
CCPHA:
Questions have been raised as to the safety of allowing individuals who have been tested for COVID-19 to co-mingle with other citizenry.
There is currently no guidance that indicates any restriction should be placed upon movements of individuals who have been tested for any disease (including COVID-19).
If there are symptoms involved in the individuals, then self-quarentining is recommended. Millions of asymptomatic people have been tested for one reason or another and have not been found to be positive.
At this time, neither the state nor the national health organizations advising the state have recommended restrictions be placed on asymptomatic individuals who request testing be done.
Again, symptomatic people are indeed advised to self-quarentine until they have been cleared by a negative test result.
