Lakeside Cemetery announced on April 6 that it will hold a clean-up week, during which employees will remove old, tattered, or faded plastic flower decorations from the grounds. The cemetery is asking anyone who wishes to keep their decorations to remove them before April 27.

The initiative aims to maintain the appearance and upkeep of the cemetery by clearing away deteriorated items. Families and individuals with loved ones at Lakeside Cemetery are encouraged to check their decorations ahead of the deadline.

“Employees will discard old, tattered, or faded plastic flower decorations during the cleanup. If you have decorations in Lakeside Cemetery you wish to save, please remove them prior to April 27th or they may be discarded,” according to the announcement.

This effort is part of routine maintenance activities that help preserve a respectful environment for all visitors. The cemetery’s request seeks cooperation from families in ensuring personal items are not unintentionally removed.

Looking ahead, regular clean-up efforts such as this one are expected to continue as part of ongoing maintenance at Lakeside Cemetery.
