Pueblo County Sheriff’s deputies arrested four men last week after they were found burglarizing a former middle school building in Boone. Authorities reported that the incident resulted in nearly $1 million in damages and losses to the property.

The arrests took place when deputies responded to reports of suspicious activity at the vacant school. Upon arrival, law enforcement interrupted the burglary as it was happening and detained the suspects at the scene.

Officials are continuing their investigation into the extent of damage and loss caused by the break-in. The sheriff’s office has not released additional details about the identities of those arrested or specific charges filed.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its commitment to protecting local properties, especially vacant buildings that may be vulnerable to theft or vandalism.
