In December 2025, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office began investigating allegations that a sheriff’s deputy had sexually assaulted a child. After receiving the report, the office started both an internal and criminal investigation. Detectives were assigned to the case, and the deputy was placed on administrative leave.
