The City announced on May 4 that it will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, May 12 at 5:00 p.m. at Skyline Theatre, located at 606 Main Street, to address questions from residents and businesses about the ongoing Water Shortage Watch and the voluntary request for a 5-10% reduction in water use throughout the City.

The meeting aims to provide information and guidance to community members regarding current water conditions and conservation efforts. Officials are encouraging all interested parties to attend in order to better understand the measures being recommended during this period of reduced water availability.

Residents who have not yet done so are encouraged to visit the City’s website at https://www.canoncity.gov/drought, where they can view a video about the Water Shortage Watch and review the complete Emergency Water Storage Response Plan. The City is making these resources available online so that community members can stay informed about steps being taken and ways they can contribute.

For further questions or additional information, individuals are advised to contact the Water Department by calling 719.269.9022.

The upcoming meeting reflects ongoing efforts by local officials to keep citizens informed during periods of resource management challenges.
