Adams State wins NCAA Division II baseball game as Poteet-Herrera shines

Adams State Grizzlies, featuring former Pueblo South High School standout Kade Poteet-Herrera, secured a 26-12 victory over the Colorado Mines Orediggers in their NCAA Division II baseball game at 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.

The contest, held at Jim Darden Field, marked the fourth meeting between the teams this season. The Grizzlies had fallen 13-11 to the Orediggers in their prior matchup on Saturday, March 7.

Poteet-Herrera contributed one hit in one at-bat, three runs scored, five runs batted in, and drew two walks.

The Grizzlies are set to host the Colorado Christian Cougars next at 3 p.m. Friday, March 13, at ASU Baseball Field.
