Adams State tops New Mexico Highlands 21-18 in NCAA Division II baseball

At 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, Adams State Grizzlies earned a 21-18 NCAA Division II baseball win against the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys. Former Pueblo South High School standout Justin Arellano contributed to the victory for his college squad.

The contest, played at ASU Baseball Field, marked their initial meeting with the Cowboys for the season.

Arellano gave up two earned runs in one inning pitched and walked two batters.

The Grizzlies will host the Cowboys again on Saturday, Feb. 28, with the game set for 11 a.m. at ASU Baseball Field.
